Rogerbox (our band) is getting quite popular; 3 shows coming up. Rogerbox.net gets an update.

My head is kind of swimming right now. Our band, Rogerbox, has been booked for 3 new shows! We’re at Paycheck’s in Hamtramck this Friday. Later in November, we’re playing the I-Rock in Detroit. And, the first week in December, we’re playing at the Bullfrog in Redford. I guess having a simple demo (thanks to Scalici’s Lounge) really makes things happen. The more people we can get to the shows, the more shows we’ll be able to play. I hope to see everyone there! All of the dates and details are on Rogerbox.net.

In preparation for upcoming shows, I’ve updated the Rogerbox site. Roll over the image to see different menu options. Sign up for show, new tracks, and music download updates. Check out a few tracks from the above mentioned Scalici’s show. You can even buy your very own Rogerbox undies! I hope to have more info about the band itself available soon. Check it out.

People don’t update their websites. Halloween.

According to this article, people don’t update their websites. Well, I just updated mine… so there.

Halloween came and went without complications. About 10 groups of trick-or-treaters showed up. About average for our neighborhood. We attended 2 different halloween parties. We performed at one of them. The other was this last weekend at my brother’s house. We thought there would be more people wearing costumes… we assumed wrong. I guess we can always re-use them next year.

in the grand tradition of following George, I’ve added Nice Titles to my main navigation menu (on the left side of the site).

OS X Panther release and reaction. Halloween and parties. Rogerbox playing in Hamtramck.

Last Friday, Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) was released. The Apple stores in the area held “Apple Events” to sell the hot black boxes. As required by the Apple Geek Union, I was there, standing in line with many other Mac users. I recognize that there’s not much other than a music concert that will make people line up for blocks. I sure as hell have never seen anyone line up for the new release of a Microsoft OS.

Panther is very cool. Smoother, faster, and packed with new features. I took advantage of the Apple Event discount and bought an iSight camera. It works very well, and was a breeze to set up. (I just plugged it in.)

Rogerbox played at a Halloween party last Saturday. The crowd enjoyed it, and we had a lot of fun in the laid-back environment. It was a “pimp and ho” themed party, and of course, the whole band was in costume, too.

Speaking of Rogerbox, we’re playing at Paycheck’s Lounge in Hamtramck, MI on November 7th. Details can be found on their site.

Honeymoon, Firbird runs again, Back to work.

Our honeymoon in Mexico was great. Sun every day, relaxing in the pool(s), checking out Mayan ruins, great food, lots of fruity drinks, and of course, great company. It was really nice to wind down after a year and a half of wedding planning. (Not that I did that much of it.) I’ll try to post a gallery of Honeymoon pics soon.

Yesterday, I spent the last day of my vacation prepping cars for the winter. I also managed to get off of my butt and get my Firebird running again. A new battery, oil filter, oil, fuel filter, pcv valve, fresh fuel, and some injector cleaner. All better. Now comes the hard part… cleaning it up and prepping it for restoration.
