For What It's Worth...

April 12th, 2006:
Closing on the houses.

We should close the sale on our current house this afternoon, and close on the new house tomorrow morning. Thanks to our friends and family who are helping us move this weekend! More updates to come as things happen!

House (almost) sold. New house (almost) bought.

Our house passed it’s independant inspection with flying colors. All contingencies of the sale have been satisfied. Our buyer is continuing with his financing process. Once the sale closes we have 30 days to get out (the first 15 are free, the rest we pay rent per-day).

The home we are buying was inspected early this week. There are 2 major concerns, and (of course) a few dozen smaller issues. We are working with the seller to address them. He has been very obliging so far.

We have an offer on our house. What’s up with the racecar?

We have an offer for our house. Nothing has been solidified yet, but we are in the process of negotiating. Updates will follow shortly.

The neon we bought last year for road racing is nearing completion. However, there have been no updates on Etcetera. Instead, check out MyGasPedal.com for the latest on the racecar progress. I hope to have everything in order in the next two weeks, and ready for final setup in preparation for drivers school at Waterford Hills.

Buy our house!

Our house is for sale! We have a double lot, 2-car garage, tons of improvements, new appliances (included), and quick access to Dearborn, Ann Arbor, Livonia, Novi, Southfield, and Detroit via I-96. More details here.

January 31st, 2006:
Home improvements. House hunt. Next airsoft skirmish scheduled.

Gina and I spent the previous 2 weekends finishing the ceiling trim on the 2nd floor. The irony of this is that the 2nd floor was the first project started in this house. I re-finished the floors and replaced the ceiling and electrical. I just never got around to doing the trim work. It was a complicated task full of compound mitred angles. However, it looks great now that it’s done. The house has never been so “done” before. No somebody just needs to buy it!

We’ve been looking for homes in the areas of Brighton, Milford, and even Ypsilanti. I’ve already chosen a “favorite,” but Gina is helping me keep a level head about it. We plan on getting an offer on our current home before making one on a new house.

In other news, a group of us will be running around in the woods of Howell on the 18th of February with BB guns. We’ve learned a bit since our first match, and hope that the conditions are a little less snowy this time.
